Transition and Community Collections Expo (TACCE)

Dear Parents,

Registration is now open for our CCISD Transition and Community Connections Expo (aka: TACCE; Ta-kee) on November 10th 2016 at Clear Springs HS form 6-8 p.m.

TACCE is open to families and students of all ages and levels of need to assist in planning for personal success both now and in the future.

Food and child care available and at no cost. Please register though so we can plan ahead to meet everyone’s need.

Here is a list of the types of agencies/organizations you can expect to be able to meet with.

They will each have a table and be available to have conversations with you about their services and offer informational resources to you as well.

• Representatives from local colleges and their programs, including disability services
• Employment support services  from DARS and Texas Workforce Commission (including  services for the blind and visually impaired)
• Mounting Horizons Center for Independent Living (services include local transportation with support as well as developing skills for independent living)
• Gulf Coast Center  (services for individuals with intellectual/cognitive disabilities and/or autism-respite, community support, behavior, self care skills support, and day program funding)
• Harris Center (services for individuals with intellectual/cognitive disabilities and/or autism-respite, community support, behavior, self care skills support, and day program funding)
• Private behavior support and therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) providers
• Local Day Programs and sheltered employment providers  –
• College based program for students with IDD/AU – STRIVE at ACC/VAST at HCC
• Parent support groups and resources
• Guardianship, Power of Attorney information
