“Sexuality Education for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities”

Event Details

Providing sexuality education to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities can be challenging. However, lack of education may lead to sexual abuse vulnerability and inappropriate sexual behavior. This presentation will provide caregivers and educators suggestions for teaching sexual hygiene, handling common forms of inappropriate sexual behavior, and teaching personal safety skills to prevent sexual abuse of individuals with disabilities.
